A More Excellent Way Healing Testimony From Gloria

In February of 2005, my dear friend
Deborah called me and asked how I was doing.
I explained to her that I was still dealing with
dystonia disease, which manifested as Blepharospasms
and Meige Syndrome. I explained that about every
90 days I would have to receive about 15 injections
around each eye from a neuro ophthalmologist and
another 30 injections in various places on the sides
of my head as well as my neck from a neurologist,
both wonderful doctors at UT Southwestern Medical
School in Dallas, Texas. This was all the medical
profession knew to do for me. The injections worked
to some degree, but I was pretty much homebound
because I had become too fearful to drive much more
than a 7-mile radius from my home because my eyes
would spasm and close, sometimes even with the injections.
Aside from the injections being extremely painful,
the disease in itself was painful, to the extent
that at the end of the day my eyes, face and neck
muscles would be so stressed that I could not wait
for sleep to come and then look forward to another
day of the same.
Deborah then asked
if she could come by and visit with me that evening,
and watch a video with her of Pastor Henry Wright
being interviewed on the Sid Roth show. After watching
the video, she then asked me if I would be interested
in attending “A More Excellent Way”
meeting with her the very next Saturday morning
at 10AM. I said yes and Deborah picked me up and
we went to someone teaching "A More Excellent Way" and I learned a lot that morning. I picked
up several CD’s such as “The
Father’s Love” as well as various other
subjects. Well….guess what? I had already
purchased the book “ A More Excellent Way”
a few years earlier but never thought too much about
it because it did not have anything about my specific
disease. It was just another book on my shelf. I
decided that I had better take another look at this
book.
The next Saturday was coming up and
I thought perhaps that Deborah would pick me up
again but that didn’t work because she decided
to go out of town. How dare she do that without
telling me?? Well…guess what happened …..I
got in my car with all of my worstfears
and drove to that meeting by myself. I learned a
lot more from the teachings of "A More Excellent Way" and found out that I had several
other friends attending those Saturday morning meetings,
friends that I thought were completely well and
had no problems. What were they doing there?
I continued to attend these meetings
and learned about things that were
sin that I had never considered
sin, nor even had a clue was sin. Like STRESS and
ANXIETY? My friends and family, we all talked about
the stress in our lives and most of the time we
were proud of it. We just kept believing that lie
that this is “just the age we live in.”
And oh, how well I knew that scripture in 2 Timothy
1:7 about “being anxious for nothing.”
I never connected the dots.
Deborah called me
again and I told her that I drove to the meeting
alone and was still very interested in what was
being taught. I finally had HOPE again
that I no longer found in healing lines at church
and/or in my personal prayer and devotion time with
my Lord and Savior, Jesus. I had pretty much given
up and resolved that He wanted me to live the rest
of my life with this dreadful “movement disorder.”
During our conversation though, Deborah asked me
several questions about this disease and said she
was going to try and get specific information from
Pleasant Valley Church about dystoniat.
Meanwhile I received a couple of deliverance
from the sessions. I didn’t
have any huge manifestations during my sessions.
It was suggested that I plan to attend a one week
class of “For My Life” at Pleasant Valley
Church in Thomaston, Georgia.
Deborah called me again and said she
received information back from a Kathy Healey with
the Spiritual Root Research Department at PVC. She
emailed it to me and this is what Kathy requested
that I begin doing every day when I got up and before
I went to bed. (Kathy also suggested that I
try to come to PVC for the one week class.)
This information did not really sound new to me
since I was very familiar with deliverance and inner
healing, but I decided to do it anyway.
Kathy said: Take authority over all
rejection, self-rejection, deaf and dumb spirits,
infirmities, pain, oppression, heaviness, fear,
guilt and shame.
Speak healing,
restoration and creative miracles
to the following:
1) All genetic defects especially
chromosome (9) nine; 2) the basal ganglia, especially
the substantia nigra; 3) all neurotransmitters be
restored to normal balance especially dopamine,
GABA, acetycholine, norepinephrine and serotonin;
4) the hypothalamus and autonomic nervous system;
5) muscles, nerves, tendons, ligaments, all connecting
tissue and cartilage; aberrant nerve impulses to
stop interfering with normal nerve transmission;
6) immune system be strengthened and body to be
strengthened from the inside out and the outside
in; 7) pain memory to be broken in my hippocampus;
8) in addition, speak the peace of God over
all of the above.
By this time I was
reading “ A More Excellent Way”, doing
my daily homework and had made reservations to go
to Pleasant Valley Church in March of 2006. . I
had purchased a home again the end of January that
needed a lot of TLC. I did all of that as well as
moved into it the first week of March. And, I continued
to receive botox injections through February 2006.
March 2006 – trip to Pleasant
Valley Church in Thomaston Georgia
From Dallas we flew to Atlanta where
someone was to pick us up at the airport. I attended
with my good friend, Linda, who I had taken out
to Lewisville for a meeting and she decided that
it was something that she needed also. Linda and
I shared a cute little cabin in PVC’s campgrounds
where they would pick us up on the bus every morning
for all-day classes and ministry, then bring us
back home in the evening. What a beautiful place
to walk and just con/image/template on what we had
learned and received in ministry that day. The speakers/teachers
were all superb and guess why? They had all been
through their own struggles and had been healed
at and/or through PVC. We also met up with our long-time
friend, Traci Morin, who surprised us at the airport
in Atlanta. She was coming to PVC to take the “For
Your Life” one-week class. Traci has also
been such a great encourager to me, to just keep
on, keeping on, as she shared her own personal struggles
and how the Lord has healed her. This has been the
greatest vacation investment of a lifetime AND the
best ‘college degree in the scriptures’
one could ever receive. Oh what a wonderful week
I had at Pleasant Valley Church.
It has been about one year and 9 months
since I was first introduced to “ A More Excellent
Way”. I wish I could tell you exactly when
the Lord healed me from every symptom of dystonia
disease. It was not a dramatic (poof!) and it was
all gone. But I have not had to take any botox injections
since February of 2006. Occasionally, I still battle
symptoms but I also know how to recognize those
symptoms. They used to be my best sin friends
called “stress” and “anxiety”.
When I feel any sign of them coming into my muscles
or my body, I immediately tell them where they have
to go and also let them know that I know who I am,
and that is “A child of the Most High God”.
Thank you Lord for healing and delivering
my body from all sickness and disease. And thank
you Pastor Henry Wright and staff at Pleasant Valley
Church, my good friends, Deborah and Traci
of Journey 2 Wholeness in Bedford, Texas. Thank you for giving to the
Lord! As Pastor Henry would say, “I am a grateful
Gloria.”
