Soul
ties are more accurately spiritual ties.
Ungodly soul ties refers to a relationship
that you have had that has most often involved
sexual sin - sex before marriage. You do
not break soul ties with those in your family
that you love because these relationships
are not ungodly. Soul ties need to be broken
when there has been sexual sin: fornication,
adultery, homosexuality, etc.
Soul
ties are as two souls can be knit or made
to cleave together in a covenant relationship,
they can also be tied or knit together to
form bondage and enslavement. promiscuous
premarital and extramarital affairs mysteriously
ties ones soul to other partners. It is a
spiritual tie between two people. We just
don’t have any concept of how promiscuity
outside of marriage scatters our souls and
destroys our ability to be fully committed
to one partner.
A person can have soul ties with imaginary
playmates with animals, inanimate objects
and more. Most are ungodly and unhealthy
for our living a victorious overcoming Christian
life.
Sexual play in any form (intercourse, oral,
etc.) is supposed to be for marriage alone.
Sex outside of marriage will not only open
a person up to diseases as HIV, but it also
creates a spiritual bondage between partners,
a link that can cause unclean or demonic
bondage's to transfer from one person to
the other.
1 Corinthians 6:16-18, "What? know
ye not that he which is joined to an harlot
is one body? for two, saith he, shall be
one flesh. But he that is joined (united)
unto the Lord is one (with Him in) spirit.
Flee fornication (sexual immorality). Every
sin that a man commits is outside the body;
but he that committeth fornication (sexual
immorality) sinneth against his own body."
Your life will become entangled and you
will come into spiritual bondage.
It is a concern of many married's that
they do not pick up the sins of their spouse.
What is most important is that you do not
have that same sin yourself. If you are
out of agreement with their sin and you
are not afraid of it then I don't think
it can come into you. Having no fear is
a key because if you do have fear you will
open the door. Remember that the
curse causeless does not come.
Here is where you practice principles of
separation.
How do you break ungodly soul ties?
Almightily God, one and true living God,
I ask forgiveness for the sin of fornication
and sexual immorality with the following
list of people, in the name of Jesus Christ.
When I speak out their name and bring their
face into my mind, and you forgive me, I
will also forgive myself, allowing no shame,
quilt or condemnation to come on me or remain
in me. I pray you would wash me and all
my body parts in the blood of the lamb so
as to cleanse me and my mind. Please also
dear Lord Jesus Christ, remove all memories
of the sins as you restore me to wholeness.
Ask the Holy Spirit to bring to mind breaking
every person you need to break soul ties
with. If you cannot remember their name
(i.e. prostitute or far back in memory)
then say “Lord you know who this person
is. I break the soul tie with that person
now in the name of Jesus Christ.”
Work through each person slowly. Here is
a sample prayer:
I
ask forgiveness for the sin of fornication
and or sexual immortality with (name of
person). I ask forgiveness for all ways
in which I hurt that person during our relationship
and I forgive all ways that person hurt
me. Heal me in these areas now Lord Jesus
Christ, I break all one flesh relationships
and sever all soul ties, physical, emotional,
mental, sexual and psychic. I ask the Lord
Jesus Christ that all parts of me would
came back to me now, washed in the blood
of the lamb, and I send all parts of them
back to them, washed in the blood of the
lamb. I pray also that you would now close
all doors or entry points forever in the
name of Jesus Christ, including all objects
of mine that they have and all objects of
them that I have. I plead the blood of Jesus
Christ over those objects removing legal
rights to harass me and I ask that you would
pull out all sexual hooks from me and them.
