I Corinthians 11:24-26 KVJ
...And when He had given thanks, He broke it, and said, ‘Take, eat: this is My body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of Me.’ After the same manner also He took the cup, when He had supped, saying, ‘This cup is the new testament in My blood: his do you, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me’.

When we partake of communion we come into agreement with God in two areas:
His shed blood for forgiveness of sin. His broken body for the curse which represents all manner of dis-ease
